About Me

I am a biostatistician in the Centre for Statistical Data Analysis (CSDA) at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg, working in Wolfgang Huber’s group.

I am a mathematician by training and obtained a PhD in statistics (multiple testing methods, with K. Strimmer) in 2013. During my PhD I also taught statistics and R programming to undergraduates and participated in statistical consulting. Since 2013, I work at the EMBL centre for statistical data analysis that helps EMBL scientists to use adequate statistical methods for their specific technological or biological research questions. My research is broadly related to the statistical analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, 4C/HiC, DNA-Seq etc.)
